Maybe you are a Medical Practice or a Medical Professional that has clients that you know would benefit from having someone visit them every week just for a chat. Or maybe you’re a school, a youth club or a children’s club that would love to encourage your pupils or your groups to engage with the older generation in their communities but don’t know how. Are you a charity that also works with older people or isolated people or are you a church who would love to get involved?

Befriended Partners
Holy Trinity Church Hurstpierpoint
Befriended is one of Holy Trinity’s mission partners which means that they support Befriended financially, practically and prayerfully. Holy Trinity host a monthly tea party at Court Bushes in Hurstpierpoint on the Third Sunday of every month

St Andrew’s Church
Befriended is a mission partner of St Andrew’s Church and they support Befriended financially, prayerfully and practically. They also disciple many of the Befriended ‘friends’ who have begun to attend church regularly. Recently we had the joy of Baptising Caroline who came along to Befriended’s bereavement cafe hosted at St Andrew’s. St Andrew’s host a monthly tea party on the first Sunday of every month
Gateway Baptist Church
We are partners with Gateway and they host a monthly tea party on the 5th Sundays in the year. They also host Community Choir on Tuesday mornings and Balance on Wednesday afternoons. During the Summer they also hosted one of our Activity days which was great fun especially the ingenious indoor crazy golf course. We are so grateful for the support shown through allowing us to use their building for our activities.
Brighton College Prep Handcross
Brighton college Prep Handcross partnership is a win win, The school has raised over £20,000 for Befriended but also put on concerts, afternoon teas, sports days and musical events for our ‘friends’ to enjoy. The school provides transport on a regular basis for our intergenerational project - Grandfriends. Befriended ‘friends’ really look forward to going to the school and listening to the children read and spending time with them “I think this is the best activity Befriended has done, I love coming to spend time with the children” says Jo

After meeting with Gail and hearing her inspiring story, as well as learning more about the invaluable work Befriended does to support people across the community, it became clear that our values are closely aligned. Care, compassion, and a strong community focus are at the heart of both organisations, and with Claire Nash Solicitors and Befriended both celebrating our 10th anniversaries next year, it felt like the perfect time to begin this partnership.
Parkers car and Truck Rental
Parkers Car and truck rental donate the profit from the hiring of this vehicle towards Befriended. They also are very generous in providing the van for event use.
