Summer Volunteer
Pranav Khurana
Hello, I’m Pranav, Former Head Boy of Brighton College Prep Handcross, and I am 13 years old. Many of you might remember me from the Hurst Tea Party that I hosted in June, or as the boy who could sing all of the countries of the world!
When I’m not at school, where my favourite subjects are Maths, Latin and IT, you would probably find me playing or watching cricket or snooker, keeping up with current affairs or building apps. When the school term ended for the summer holidays, the thought of watching TV and playing outside all day long for the next two months made me feel like the summer break was missing something. After receiving an abundance of warmth from Befriended at the Hurst Tea Party in June, I felt great about making a positive impact, I was hungry to do more for the community and I had plenty of time. I knew exactly what I wanted to do this summer. I began thinking about how I could use my love of technology to help people. That’s when it hit me - I could reach out to Gail and use my tech skills to help improve Befriended’s processes, giving Gail more time to continue focusing on Befriended’s main mission - helping to end loneliness!
