A very special first for Graham…

After losing three of the people closest to him last year, including his beloved wife Rose, Graham came to Befriended at one of the lowest points of his life.

Through Compassionate Conversations, friendship and belonging, he began to find hope and purpose again. He then poured his incredible carpentry skills into helping us transform our new Befriended Hub , usually with André Rieu playing while he worked!

So, as a little thank you for all he has given to Befriended, we took Graham to see André Rieu at Wembley.

At over 73 years old, this wasn't just Graham’s first André Rieu concert ,  it was the first live performance of any kind he had ever been to in his life! And he absolutely loved every single minute.

What a privilege to share such a special evening with him. This is what Befriended is all about ,  friendship, belonging, new experiences and discovering that there can still be wonderful chapters waiting to be written.
